CMS recently launched a new Fraud Detection Operations Center to the fight fraud, waste and abuse that is damaging our #healthcare system and taking advantage of our most vulnerable citizens. Within the first month since the launch, we have suspended payments to 33 providers suspected of fraud.

For too long, some food producers have been feeding Americans petroleum-based chemicals without their knowledge or consent. These poisonous compounds offer no nutritional benefit and pose real, measurable dangers to our children’s health and development. That era is coming to an end. We’re restoring gold-standard science, applying common sense, and beginning to earn back the public’s trust. And we’re doing it by working with industry to get these toxic dyes out of the foods our families eat every day.

Thank you @SeanHannity for letting me set the record straight. Bottom line, the more than 25% of people who have severe autism will never go on a date, write a poem, live independently, or have a job. We need to identify the exposures that are causing this epidemic and compensate the families of the injured. @HHSgov under my leadership, will be unrelenting in assisting affected individuals in living up to all their potentials.

The autism epidemic has now reached a scale unprecedented in human history because it affects the young. The risks and costs of this crisis are a thousand times more threatening to our country than COVID-19. Autism is preventable and it is unforgivable that we have not yet identified the underlying causes. We should have had these answers 20 years ago.
HHS@HHSGov

At today’s HHS press conference, @SecKennedy presented new data showing that in the U.S. autism prevalence numbers have increased from 1 in 36 children to 1 in 31, according to @CDCgov latest Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network survey published Tuesday in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.

.@SecKennedy and Administrator @epaleezeldin joined Utah elected officials for a press conference Monday to celebrate the passage of three MAHA bills: 1. Utah becomes the first state to ban fluoride in public drinking water. 2. A ban on the use of specific dyes and chemical additives in public school meals. 3. A ban on purchasing soda using SNAP benefits. Thanks to leadership like this, we are one step closer to Making America Healthy Again.

Today, @SecKennedy visited the Greater Mount Vernon Community Head Start in Gum Springs, VA. Nutrition services have been a hallmark of the Head Start program since its inception. HHS is excited to continue to build on this legacy. Healthy eating is critical for children’s brain development, immune health, and overall growth.

I am directing the FDA commissioner to start the process of changing the rules to eliminate the self-affirmed GRAS pathway for new ingredients. I am also calling on the @US_FDA and @NIH continue to conduct and improve post-market assessments of GRAS chemicals currently in our food so we can rapidly identify the compounds that are making Americans so sick, and so that American consumers and regulators can make informed decisions. This is an important step in our pursuit to Make America Healthy Again.

For far too long, ingredient manufacturers and sponsors have exploited a loophole that has allowed new ingredients and chemicals, often with unknown safety data, to be introduced into the U.S. food supply without notification to the @FDA or the public. Eliminating the GRAS loophole will provide transparency to consumers, help get our nation’s food supply back on track by ensuring that ingredients being introduced into foods are safe, and ultimately Make America Healthy Again. 🚨 CDC is on the ground in TX, partnering with @TexasDSHS to respond to the #measles outbreak. This partnership - known as an Epi-Aid- is a rapid response by CDC's Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) to tackle urgent public health issues like disease outbreaks. EIS officers provide local officials onsite support for 1-3 weeks, aiding in quick decision-making to control health threats. The local authority leads the investigation while collaborating with CDC experts. “The measles outbreak in Texas is a call to action for all of us to reaffirm our commitment to public health. By working together -- parents, healthcare providers, community leaders, and government officials, we can prevent future outbreaks and protect the health of our nation. Under my leadership, HHS is and will always be committed to radical transparency to regain the public’s trust in its health agencies.” @SecKennedy @HHSGov

Anti-Semitism – like racism – is a spiritual and moral malady that sickens societies and kills people with lethalities comparable to history’s most deadly plagues. In recent years, the censorship and false narratives of woke cancel culture have transformed our great universities into greenhouses for this deadly and virulent pestilence. Making America healthy means building communities of trust and mutual respect, based on speech freedom and open debate. hhs.gov/about/news/202…

I so enjoyed my meeting with tribal leaders and elders from my advisory committee. Past administrations have treated @IHSgov as a red-headed stepchild. This administration will make Indian Country a priority.
