A new year, with a fabulous team and a new early years lead role for myself. We’ve worked hard to create a calm and meaningful environment for our children. Thank you for continuing to inspire @HIAMrsRadwan @Rachaelillidge and the very talented Mrs Williams for creating this😍

This was amazing, every child was able to hold the butterfly … before it flew away… 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋

It’s been so lovely this week playing in our outdoor area with the sun shining … we have all had so much fun.

A fabulous activity with paper! , using a variety of equipment to fasten together or make holes, we introduced the children to staplers , paper clips , a hole punch and tape dispensers… it was tricky at first, and resilience was needed !

We have caterpillars in our classroom, because we are reading the story called ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ , we are going to watch them grow, spin a cocoons and emerge as a butterflies, have also been talking about healthy and unhealthy foods. @HIAMrsMartin @HIAMrsRadwan

We began the week making chocolate rice crispy cakes, and we ended with an Easter egg hunt outside …. The Easter bunny left colourful eggs for us to find and at the end of the morning they magically turned into chocolate lollipops for us to take home!

From scribbles , circles and general mark making to recognisable letters, it is such an easy activity to do at home, all you need is a tray of salt. It’s so effective and the children love how a little shake makes everything disappear! A fun way of learning!

The first few weeks are always a ‘How to ...’ How to stand quietly in a nice line, how to roll sleeves up for hand washing ... how to share , and play together , and by October half term it always falls into place ... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Team Nursery!!!!

As we reach our half term break it’s time to reflect on how well our little ones have settled into nursery, yet again it’s been lovely to watch friendships develop and a love for learning starting to grow.. see you all in 2 weeks with your smiles!

I won’t be hungry in nursery this morning, lots of delicious food being prepared here by our budding chefs.... chocolate cake being top of the menu! .. YUMMY !!!! @HiaNursery

“A tiny seed was sleeping underneath the ground, a little shoot came peeping, out of the seed, and from the leaves there grew a flower ... 🌼🌼🌼 we have been learning this song and talking about how plants grow. We are monitoring the progress each day.

This book is a firm favourite in nursery, we have caterpillars in the classroom which are getting bigger each day ... and we are all excited for them to turn into cocoons, , we had a go at observational painting and I was very impressed... some budding artists in the making!

We have been learning all about the Coronation of King Charles, we have painted bunting for our classroom , iced biscuits with 🔴⚪️🔵 sprinkles and we made our own crowns with glitter and sparkles ... did you know there are 444 jewels on the crown 👑....

What can you create from a box ... ? A police car ... a den.... a drum ... the list goes on .... thank you to our friends in the junior school for donating all the boxes ... our children have loved them as you can see .. @HIAMissHarris @HiaNursery

So it’s been two years since starting my postgraduate degree, there’s been blood sweat and tears (& not just mine, my two little bambino’s) I have finally achieved my MA. Working and being a single parent is hard enough and I am so proud of this achievement!!! 🥹😀🙌🏻🙏🏻
