Some Queer
@HLSIII
A big nerd. Queer lawyer. I seem to tweet about politics and, apparently, #F1. If you’re under 18 please go away.

@SonoVisuals On it.

In honor of Twitter’s 20th anniversary, what’s your favorite tweet of all time?

Adrian Newey's admission about when Aston Martin discovered Honda's F1 programme had been gutted is baffling. Here's why: the-race.com/formula-1/adri… the-race.com/formula-1/adri…

🚨| Wolff: “The vast majority of fans like this F1. And Max would have fun too if he were on TV”: — Toto Wolff defended the current state of Formula 1, emphasizing the increased spectacle and fan engagement. Speaking to media, Wolff remarked: “I believe that the product itself is valid. We also witnessed some good races in the middle of the group, and this, in my opinion, is a positive aspect. Now, from a driver's perspective, when it comes to the qualifying lap at full throttle, the situation is different. Clearly, taking your foot off the accelerator has a cost in qualifying.” — Wolff acknowledged the nostalgia for past eras but highlighted the enthusiasm of fans for the current format: “Qualifying at full throttle would be nice. But when you look at the fans and their enthusiasm, live and on social media, I think that the vast majority of people like this F1. We can evaluate how to improve it, but all the indicators and data say that people like it. And that's exactly what I talked to Stefano about. We've all been part of an era in Formula 1 where overtaking literally didn't exist. Sometimes we are too nostalgic for the 'good old days'.” — Addressing Max Verstappen's criticism of the new F1, Wolff suggested that the issues are more car-specific rather than a problem with the sport itself: “Max is really in a nightmare situation. If you watch the onboard video of the qualification, the car is simply horrible to drive. But that doesn't apply to many other teams. I am sure that for an aggressive driver like him it will be difficult to manage and digest, but it is more of a problem specific to the car, which in a certain sense amplifies the theme itself. If he sat on the couch, even Max would say: 'It was an interesting race.'” #totowolff #maxverstappen #formula1 🇬🇧 VIA: [formulapassion]
