We harvested 80# food this morning! Our volunteer Don has always wanted to run a veggie cart handing out veggies, so we loaded the produce in a cart and he handed it out to our custodial staff! @HmesPartnership @HollinMeadowsES @PTAHMES

I had several students come to the garden today to take a break. Some wanted to talk and weed. Some just wanted a quiet moment. I’m grateful that our garden space is a safe haven for our students and our staff when things feel tough. @HollinMeadowsES @PTAHMES @HmesPartnership

We made a teepee! I told my volunteers that I wanted a teepee trellis for luffa and Don said “ok I’m on it” and showed up with a 17 ft masterpiece all ready to assemble! Jennie our other volunteer also helped and within minutes it was up and braced! @HollinMeadowsES @PTAHMES

We harvested over 20# hakurei turnips out of ONE bed this week with our first graders! Love having them learn about seed to fruit and then seeing it in action!! @PTAHMES @HmesPartnership @HollinMeadowsES
