@CBKimbrell I was looking on landwatch the other day. Take the 26mil and sell the rest of the farm and you could buy 10,000+ acre ranch or 2000+ acres of good row crop ground in the Midwest. Heck, I'll sell my place to them for 10 million and we will all be happy.

@teachthemx3 It is tougher in smaller rural districts because of lack of numbers of kids that can handle it. But, larger districts should absolutely have advanced track kids doing algebra in 6th and 7th grades.

Houston ISD (the largest district in Texas) is doing the same thing. I would love to see districts develop a true accelerated math program where Calculus is taught in 8th or 9th grade. Calling Algebra I in 8th grade an "advanced" math model is insulting to mathematically gifted students.

Twelve years ago, San Francisco killed 8th-grade Algebra in the name of equity. Advanced math enrollment (including AP Calculus) dropped, and racial gaps expanded. @DanielMairet1 Was in 2 of my vehicles yesterday afternoon between 4 and 5 pm and both said 96 degrees (were they right, ??? but it was hot). By 9:30pm I relit the pilot on the gas and turned the heat on. Had 36 this morning.

@byEliHoff I think the school has to keep him at this point. While I have real doubts about his coaching abilities, hitting the reset unless they have the perfect replacement is just too risky. Plus, the old time fanbase wants a "Norm" type coach and the admin does not. So, keep him.

@notBSarver35 Wright was at Hofsta and Hurley was at Wagner and Rhode Island. Give me a break with these comparisons. They kicked butt at those mid majors. Gates never had a great record at Cleveland state. His got lucky with a 20-10 team and snuck in the tourney.
