TRENT is alongside in the Azores for our watch handover, and it’s the perfect time to recognise our sailors who have worked so hard both this term and year. We’ve also given out two Wider Service Medals. Congratulations to all the recipients! #RoyalNavy

We’ve returned to sea today after Christmas alongside in Jacksonville, Florida. On Christmas Eve we enjoyed a great bbq meal funded by the Gosling Foundation, and on Christmas Day we opened our @OpChristmasBox goodies and had our Christmas dinner! #FwdDeployed #Christmas

Look who decided to drop in! While off the coast of Miami, Florida, our friends at the @USCG sent a helicopter out to us to give us some useful aviation training, both with day and night landings. Many thanks for the Key Lime Pie as well, it was delicious!

We visited the fascinating Montserrat Volcano Observatory. Their scientists told us about the island's history and the challenges of dealing with the active volcano in Soufrière Hills. If Montserrat ever requests our help, the @RoyalNavy is ready to answer the call.

First up, we met our partners in the Royal Montserrat Defence Force. 🇲🇸 We delivered their new camouflage uniforms and arranged a joint training exercise. The RMDF is more than 120 years old and has a long history of providing disaster relief.

HMS MEDWAY was honoured to attend a Remembrance Service with the British Consulate General in Miami on 9 Nov, followed by a service onboard on Armistice Day. We will remember them. #LestWeForget #RoyalNavy

Her Excellency Alicia Herbert OBE, British High Commissioner to Jamaica and Commander Aceion Prescott, Jamaican Defence Force, joined our service of remembrance last Sunday. With the sun slowly setting, we prayed together as the Roll of Honour was called. #LestWeForget 🇬🇧🇯🇲

At 1100 on Remembrance Sunday, we paused our relief work at Falmouth All Ages School to remember those who gave everything and those who continue to Serve. Standing alongside our Jamaican partners, we remembered too the victims of Hurricane Melissa. 🇬🇧🇯🇲🇬🇧🇯🇲🇬🇧🇯🇲

We remember them.    On behalf of the nation, The King lays a wreath at the Cenotaph during the annual Service of Remembrance.   Wreaths were laid by The Prince of Wales, and The Duke of Edinburgh, and on behalf of The Queen, and The Duke of Kent.
