I have today delivered on my healthcare agenda with the installation of a modern CT Scan machine at Bungoma County Referral Hospital, bringing advanced diagnostic services closer to our people.

In Kakamega, I joined fellow leaders in welcoming hundreds of defectors from the DCP party into the UDA family, a strong signal of Western Kenya’s growing political realignment.

I have received with profound shock and deep sadness the news this evening of the passing of Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, Mheshimiwa Johana Ng’eno. My friend, Mheshimiwa Ng’eno, was a progressive and devoted servant of the people who worked tirelessly on behalf of the residents of Emurua Dikirr, Narok County. He was focused, vocal, and fearless; a leader who stood firmly for justice and equity for all. He will be remembered for the tangible progress achieved under his leadership and his exemplary commitment to promoting local talent, especially in music. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends, the people of Emurua Dikirr, and all the victims and families affected by the helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County.

Hon Johanna Ng'eno was a strong supporter of Sabaot artists and Kapkugo Festival in Mt Elgon.His final public engagement in Endebess, Trans Nzoia County, celebrating our culture, reflects the passion he had for uplifting his people. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Today, we have lost a dedicated leader, a champion of culture, and a strong supporter of artists and community initiatives. My heartfelt condolences go to his family, the people of Emurua Dikirr and the families of all those who lost their lives. May their souls rest in peace.

It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my dear elder brother, Mr. James Mukhwana Wetang’ula. A retired teacher of great humility, discipline, and wisdom, James touched many lives. He was the firstborn son of Mzee Dominic Khaemba Wetang’ula and the late Mama Anna Wetang’ula; twin brother to Virginia Mulongo Sikhoya; and a loving brother to Dorothy Watila, Mary Ongamo, Scolastica Opemo, Hon. Tim Wanyonyi, Fred Wetang’ula, myself, and our entire family. James was a devoted father, mentor, and a pillar in our community. His legacy as an educator and family man remains firmly in our hearts. We kindly ask for your prayers and support as we mourn his passing and honour his life. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
