Building on the legacy and impact of Houston Hockey Hall Of Fame Jim O'Neill, Hockey Day In Houston partnered with ASHA through its existing relationships to combine forces to help support adaptive hockey/skating organizations, including StarSkaters and the STARskaters Hellhounds Sled Hockey! With 135 affiliated programs and 10,000 members, American Special Hockey Association has the support of many professional organizations, leagues, and players, including Alex Ovechkin who is very active with the programs around the Washington DC area.
