H.E. Dr. @AltuwaijriHala, President of the Human Rights Commission, during her participation in the side event on mediation and #HumanRights, organized by the State of Qatar as part of the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council held in Geneva.

Within the framework of bilateral meetings held alongside #HRC61 in Geneva, H.E. Dr. @AltuwaijriHala, President of the Human Rights Commission, met with H.E. Ambassador Sidharto Reza Suryodipuro, President of the Council’s 20th cycle. The meeting highlighted the importance of continued coordination and constructive dialogue in support of international efforts to promote and protect human rights.

On the sidelines of the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, H.E. Dr. Hala bint Mazyad Altuwaijri, President of the Human Rights Commission, met with Ms. Michelle Gyles-McDonnough, Executive Director and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The meeting discussed areas of mutual cooperation and explored ways to enhance training programs and capacity-building initiatives in the field of human rights.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation in the field of #HumanRights and exchanged expertise and best practices, contributing to the promotion of shared values and constructive dialogue between the Commission and the Mission.

The Human Rights Commission and @QATARNHRC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation, exchange expertise, and promote human rights awareness. The MoU was signed by H.E. Dr. @AltuwaijriHala and H.E. Ms. Maryam Alattiyah.

She noted that #SaudiVision2030 has placed housing as a national priority by promoting sustainability, ensuring fair access to housing, and developing human-centered cities.
