You can assess the number of Nigerians residing in the West and draw a correlation with our shrinking middle class, and poverty bulge. With all the noise, Nigerians are not up to 500k in the US. Less than 300k in UK, less than 200k in Canada. Compare that to 5 million Indians in the US alone. There are more Nigerians willing to travel out than they can afford to. It also means that more Nigerians abroad need to form powerful blocs and political communities to influence easy immigration policies for others.
