@MichaelBuckelew @MLS False. One of them doesn’t even play in New York. It’s the Hudson River Derby. Both sets of supporters call it that. There is literally a foundation in that name.

The Rules Only MLS regular season matches between the two clubs will be included. 3 points are awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. The club with the most points will be awarded the HRD Trophy for that season.

After years of hard work the Hudson River Derby Foundation is proud to unveil OUR Hudson River Derby Trophy! Our trophy will be awarded for the first time next Saturday to the aggregate winner of our 2 regular season match ups between our teams from both sides of the Hudson.
