One common feature in western empire propaganda is that we are always given reasons for the empire's violence, while the violence of those who resist the empire gets framed as happening for no reason at all. We've all been fed reasons for the US-Israeli war on Iran, and we all know what those reasons are. Even less-informed members of the western public have heard something about the Iranians being a nuclear threat, having a tyrannical government, and maybe something about sponsoring terrorist groups. But the so-called "peaceful protesters" who were killed in an uprising fomented and facilitated by the United States? They were killed for no reason, simply because the Iranian government is evil and hates dissent. All the Iranian police officers who died in the uprising perished for no reason, perhaps of natural causes. It is only by pure coincidence that this happened at the exact same time the US empire was making the decision to try to topple the Iranian government. We've all been given the official reasons why Israel has spent years blanketing the Gaza Strip with military explosives: Israel was attacked by Hamas on October 7 2023, so it needs to get rid of Hamas for its own security. But why did the Hamas attack happen? It happened for no reason. If you look to the propagandists in the western press for answers, October 7 happened solely because Hamas are evil and wanted to kill Jews because of their religion. Absolutely no mention of Israel's savage treatment of Palestinians for generations, or the dreadful living conditions imposed upon the giant concentration camp that Gaza had become. We've been told why the western empire is pouring weapons into Ukraine: Ukraine was invaded by Russia. The empire wants to protect the freedom and democracy of the Ukrainian people, and to deter future expansionism by Vladimir Putin. Why did Russia invade Ukraine? No reason. Putin's just evil and hates freedom, that's all. Sure, countless western experts and analysts had been warning for years that NATO aggressions were going to lead to a war on Russia's border, but they were just rambling lunatics whose forecasts of war were proven correct by pure coincidence. Our entire understanding of history is framed in this way. Fidel Castro killed people in Cuba. Why did he kill them? No reason; he was just a mean jerk. All the violence of the socialist revolutionaries around the world overthrowing the abusive governments which preceded them is framed as causeless genocidal carnage inflicted by murderous tyrants who simply loved killing people. The desperation caused by the capitalist exploitation that had been imposed upon those populations is completely redacted from our history books. A mature understanding of our world begins with a curiosity about why the violence is happening. Violence is not always justified, but there is always a reason why it happens. Western pundits, politicians and newscasters will very seldom tell you what those reasons are unless it advances the interests of the western empire, so if you want to have a truth-based understanding of what's really going on in our world, you need to actively seek out the answers for yourself.

There are loads of Americans on TikTok talking about burning shit belonging to billionaires to the ground. I think there are enough people with nothing left to lose to actually do this. A class war has started...

Tonight Labour MPs voted to erode our right to protest, handing police sweeping powers that could criminalise sustained strike action as "cumulative disruption." This is a direct escalation against the Palestine solidarity movement that has brought hundreds of thousands onto the streets. It follows the unlawful proscription of Palestine Action, a lost High Court battle they are still appealing, the targeting and failed prosecutions of artists, and over 3,000 arrests for holding a placard opposing genocide. The Labour Party is nothing more than Reform with a red rosette.

Zarah Sultana MP invokes parliamentary privilege to inform the British public about reporting by The Grayzone on the corrupt trial of six Palestine Action activists Sultana stated that if convicted, the defendants "will be sentenced as terrorists, but the jury will not be told that” “They could convict them on criminal damage charges with no idea that terrorism sentences will follow," she continued. "Not a single terrorism charge has been brought forward. The proscription has been ruled unlawful and the defendants themselves have been banned from telling the jury that they acted to stop genocide under threat of contempt charges”

idk, i just find it a bit absurd that the man who set fire to a warehouse full of toilet paper is facing more immediate consequences than literally any of the men in the epstein files.

America has not arrested a single pedophile mentioned in the Epstein files. Not a single girl got justice. And these are the same Americans you want us to believe are worried about women in Iran. They killed 168 girls between the ages of 7 and 12 in Iran.

The US condemning ‘economic terrorism’ is yet another moment of madness when they are the biggest economic terrorists in the history of the world The US has imposed sanctions on more than one in three people on Earth — restricting food, medicine & trade at a scale unmatched ever
Acyn@Acyn

VANCE: What they have done is engage in this act of economic terrorism against the entire world. As the President showed, two can play at that game.

I lived in Hungary for several years under the Orbán dictatorship. The funny thing was, people could and did say whatever came into their heads, protests were held in front of the parliament, there was a gay cruise bar down the road and Orbán held elections. And yet, the country was a dictatorship. Whereas in the UK, people tend to be distinctly guarded and if they do say the wrong thing very publicly, they get locked up. And yet, it's a free country. Once you understand that words can mean whatever we want them to mean, it begins to make sense.

It's important not to let them pin this all on Trump, in the same way it's important not to let them pin Israel's crimes on Netanyahu. Everything we are seeing with this disastrous Iran war is the product of the entire power structure which gave rise to it, not one guy's dopey decisions. The warmongers in the DC swamp have been pushing war with Iran for decades. Trump is just the guy who was chosen by Zionist oligarchs and bloodthirsty empire managers to carry out the deed. He happens to be the face on the operation, but if it wasn't him it would have been someone else. American warmongering insanity didn't start with Trump, and it isn't going to end with him either. Don't direct your rage merely at the fleeting puppets who come and go from the imperial stage as the US murder machine trudges onward. Direct it at the empire itself.

One cannot stress enough the role of the craven, soulless mainstream media in covering up these crimes against humanity. From CNN to the BBC to the NYT, you get a steady stream of propaganda and obfuscation. War crimes are buried in passive voice and meaningless word salads.

After 80 years of mass murder, and today aggression in Iran, ethnic cleansing in Lebanon, genocide in Palestine, corruption of governments across the West, and the fielding of racist proxies to harass human rights defenders everywhere, no, Israel does not have “a right to exist” and does not have “a right to defend itself” anymore than Nazi Germany did. It must be isolated, weakened, defeated, and dismantled. The peace of the world and the rights of millions depend upon it.

Ask an American about the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A substantial portion will tell you it was necessary. Tragic, but necessary. It ended the war. It saved lives. Hard choices in impossible circumstances. Now ask them how they would feel if another country had done it to an American city. Watch the framework collapse in real time. Suddenly "necessary" is not a category that applies. Suddenly there are no hard choices and impossible circumstances. Suddenly it is simply: a crime. An act of war. An atrocity. This is not hypocrisy in the ordinary sense. This is a two-tiered moral universe so deeply internalized that most people living inside it cannot see the structure at all. Violence done to Americans is atrocity by definition. Violence done by Americans requires context. Requires understanding. Requires a discussion of the strategic situation. This is the psychological furniture. This is what empire builds inside the people who benefit from it. And it is almost invisible from the inside.
