Butler isn’t playing either and I’m with you on the draft picks but at this point in the wizards development they should put real players around the team instead of chasing after draft picks that take years to develop the wizards should be competing to be a playin team this season. Also with the changes in the draft picks/lottery the wizards putting out a competing team is what they should be doing. Bringing Jimmy Butler in who likely won’t play until after allstar break and 2 middling 1st rd picks isn’t exactly team building. But player development wise any time spent with Anthony Davis will help Alex Sarr become a better player going forward. So if you don’t want to understand the nuance and the value veteran players who are hall of famers brings to younger players you may be the “stupid” one. That same 60 would be cleared off regardless by the time their players are up for contract offers. They have no reason to trade AD for Butler what is the benefit for the wizards in trading for butler? At least with AD they can get value especially if they keep him to the deadline and he’s healthy or they can just extend him themselves.

No one cares about him teaching AJ we want AD for Sarr and the wizards need a big man not another wing or forward. If you want AD from the wizards the warriors are going to have to find a big man to replace AD as the Wizards have no use for Butler. If AD wants to opt into his contract good that gives him more time on contract and he can than enter free agency or reestablish his trade value by performing on the court.
