I just adopted a cat (as u know) and he’s so lovely but such a coward. Terrified of the outdoors and all unexpected phenomena. Immediately hides under dresser for hours after minor disturbance. I want him to be comfy outside cuz I don’t freaking want freaking litter box in my house, disgusting untenable situation. Last night tried sitting on porch with open door and he did really well. Was outside w me for at least half an hour, huge improvement from previous attempts in middle of day when he could handle outdoors for max 60 seconds. Perhaps he’s relaxed a little, perhaps he’s naturally more adventurous in the evening? Will try again tonight

While we're waiting on the MAK-90 wood, I bought this Ukrainian KPYK furniture for the SAM5. Multiple days of filing the aluminum pieces to get this to fit. Removed receiver rivets due to bad design. Ukraine has yet to invent manufacturing tolerances. Looks fuckin' sick though.

@lanabeesfw Many careers start like that, many people in my industry did. You can always change careers, do what you like, definitely. Just saying that capitalism forces a lot of us into places we didn't imagine being. I didn't dream of my sucky but comfortable tech career as a child.

@lanabeesfw I was in college for multiple foreign languages, dropped out, nothing to do with tech career. I started doing this out of survival too. Literally some dude walked up to me at age 20 and asked if I wanted to make $500. I hadn't eaten in two days, said yes. That was 15 years ago.

I’m just insecure because i never got to go to college or have a career and i got into sex work for survival and it became my career 🤷 i think the girls who went to college and have careers are amazing! It’s just a sore spot for me personally. I feel like those of us who don’t have that get pushed under the rug. We aren’t the success stories people want. It’s just hard sometimes.
