@offthewalls2 same. the flow was off. also I'm wondering why they've cut the scene of him going around visiting ppls houses as a Jehovah's witness. i thought they would go in depth about his faith and how it affected him. there was nothing about him being denied holidays because of it.

@offthewalls2 i thought it was...not the best. like, we know he liked peter pan, but i cringed at the scene of him stroking peter pan's nose and then it cuts to him going to get a nose job 😭😭💀💀💀 what were they thinking honestly

all in all paris was right about some things, but it’ll do well, introduce a whole new audience to him… and maybe we’ll finally get victory in 4k

The only way the media wouldn't have hate-bombed this movie if it portrayed MJ as guilty of child molestation. That's it. That's what they want, not simply a discussion of the allegations, not honesty and not truth. They just want THEIR version of MJ. #Michaelmovie

@trumanstories yeah, honestly the general audiences will enjoy it the most because superfans have expectations and haters have expectations - and neither group will have those expectations met. it was a decent biopic.

i haven’t seen it yet so forgive me if i’m wrong but i think that’s with all music biopics imo. i don’t think i walked out of elvis or bob dylan knowing any more than i did when i walked in. i think w a biopic, honesty is more important than depth maybe

half way through the movie guys and I'm afraid they weren't lying about it being kinda shallow. it's definitely for the general audiences - but it doesn't offer anything that isn't known even by the most basic level fans. and there's too much john branca, as expected.

@HVST3RIA No, critics, based on their reviews, hated the same things you disliked. You still enjoyed the movie but you have the same complaints the critics do. You may have liked it more than most critics but clearly they weren’t wrong, you’re agreeing with their complaints.

this 100%. it's a good movie, it's surface-level MJ for the fans, but it's definitely the real him that the general audience doesn't know about - and that's what the critics hate. it shows you Michael as he is authentically, and not as how the media portrays him.

jaafar is so fucking good as michael, he literally disappears in this film. i even forgot i was watching jaafar and not michael himself, that's how much he transformed. this is the first time someone has actually managed to capture michael's essence and not made it a caricature.

So, I saw #MichaelMovie earlier...
Jaafar Jackson is a revelation. What a remarkable young man, I'm so impressed by him and his performance.
I have issues with some of the technical choices, namely the editing, but the critics are outright lying to you. This movie's amazing.
