Gigafactory New York built their last V3 Supercharger cabinet, marking the end to 15k+ V3 cabinets over 7 years. V4 cabinet line is ramping up!

PSA: Every Rivian R2 shown at SXSW is a manufacturing validation build (MVB). The "Droid" R2s are very close to production units so I expect not much to visibly change from what is on display at SXSW. We were told the R2D2 was a "pre-production" R2 at Autonomy and AI Day last year. Rivian will start making the production R2s on the line in Normal, IL very s0----0n. I expect Rivian to have a major announcement for R2 marking the start of production in the coming month. Everything you see until then is an MVB.

Buyer beware: Matthews International stole Tesla's DBE technology and is now subject to an injunction and liable for damages. During our work with Matthews, we caught them red-handed copying our technology—including proprietary software and sensitive mechanical designs—into products for other customers.  For three years they lied about it, tried to hide their dishonesty, and continued to ship our technology to others. Recently, we obtained a permanent injunction preventing further theft from Tesla, with financial damages to be computed. Matthews is now publishing complete nonsense to cover their tracks. To correct the record: Matthews was found liable for distributing Tesla’s technology into practically every substantial DBE machine they’ve sold, and their ridiculous claim of ownership over our patents is in active dispute. Suppliers who exploit customer IP through theft or deception have no place in Tesla’s ecosystem—or in any ethical supply chain.

All my small plane pilot friends are big mad at @starlink today. Their plans just went up 5X in price overnight, and the data included went from 100GB to 20GB. I know it's a small group of people, but this is causing many to cancel this service as it's now cost-prohibitive especially with the lower bandwidth service. Starlink was a complete game-changer for being connected from a small plane, and I think it would be cool if they left it where it was so normal folks in piston aircraft could enjoy it, and reserve the higher-price tiers for turbine aircraft speeds, 300+mph. It's got to be the tiniest revenue difference for SpaceX either way, but it's a world of difference for safety and connectivity to the American general aviation fleet of small planes. cc @elonmusk
