Thoughts on home court advantage:
State law breach of contract claims cannot be brought against the NCAA in federal court. State law also determines which venue(s) is proper. Where else besides MS do some people think the Chambliss case should have been filed? Vermont? 🤷🏻♂️

Trinidad Chambliss’ attorneys filed a response today in the Chambliss vs NCAA case. The filing claims that Chambliss’s case was “neither manufactured nor contrived.” It stresses that they’ll be no grand harm to the college sports industry if Chambliss gets a sixth year.

ICYMI, the Detroit News wasn’t the only media outlet to report in April 2025 that Trinidad Chambliss would have two years of eligibility at Ole Miss. 🤷🏻♂️

Serious question: why would Trinidad Chambliss have said in Dec. 2024 he “had a medical redshirt” in 2022 unless he had been told so by Ferris State’s staff, who must have then believed (before he transferred) that Trinidad’s lengthy illness prevented him from playing in 2022-23?

The announcers of the 2024 DII Championship game understood that Trinidad Chambliss hadn’t played in 2022-23 because of an illness that qualified him for a medical redshirt, which apparently was the belief of most people who followed FSU’s football program. H/T @TheStevenWillis.
