@rarefinds There’s a lot of raw mangas 103 104 for 30-60 dollars do you think they’re fakes with the newer volumes or have you bought any of those raws and sent them in for grading. Not sure whether it’s an opportunity or scam

Highly recommend that you check eBay each day for graded One Piece manga volumes 1, 100, 103, and 104. In my opinion those are the top to collect. There are increasingly less listed on marketplaces that are graded (never buy these mangas raw, too many fakes out there), let alone in high Beckett or BGS grades like 9.8. I had a friend recently buy a Volume 100 in BGS 9.6 for less than $300. Absolute steal, so these opportunities, albeit rare, still arise. Keep your eyes peeled. This is for the true collectors.

Bandai One Piece TCG alpha: Premium Card Collection - 25th Edition released in 2023 sealed (in English) is selling for around $600. It contains ten manga cards, one for each of the Straw Hat crew. The Luffy card is selling for around $500 in a PSA 10, which is almost the price of a sealed box. I suspect this set will become a grail in the future when more people realize it features ten manga cards of the crew.

@rarefinds Just got my 104 you think I should still try to get exposure to volume 1 ?

Last December I bought a One Piece Manga Volume 1 for just under $1800 in a BGS 9.0 grade. See first photo below. Yesterday someone bought that same volume, in same grade, for $17,000. That was not my sale, as I have conviction this goes much higher with One Piece likely soon surpassing the all-time sales of Superman and becoming the biggest selling comic series of all time. There are always opportunities in collectibles, you just have to know where to look. And I gave this alpha freely and publicly at the price I originally bought.

@GarrettLorman Long term hold in my opinion. I cannot give you a price now for that specific volume given the price appreciation over past few months. Don’t fomo there are always opportunities.

The best two moves for TCG that you can make this year (besides participating in and winning tournaments) are: 1. For One Piece cards, do whatever you can to get a preorder near msrp for OP-17, which will be the fourth year anniversary set for the modern One Piece TCG by Bandai. This will be THE flagship release for One Piece cards this year. All the past yearly anniversary sets (OP-05, OP-09, OP-13) have all been stacked with the top cards ever released in those particular sets. If you cannot get a preorder at msrp (likely difficult), aim to buy a sealed box in English for as close to around $300 as you can get. Cases always have a premium but those will be even more difficult to obtain. Recall the craze with OP-13 last December, expect similar with OP-17 which is the heir apparent to OP-13. I’m skipping EB03, OP-15, and OP-16 leading up to the anniversary set. 2. For Dragon Ball Fusion World cards, do whatever you can to get a preorder at msrp for the eventual SB-03 booster box. This set has not been announced yet, but with the success and current hype of manga boosters 1 and 2 (SB-01 and SB-02) I would fully expect Bandai will release SB-03 this year. This will likely be a smaller print run than the FB sets in the Fusion World series. If you cannot get preorder at msrp (very possible), then try to get as close as possible. Everything else releasing this year for TCGs is largely noise. Consolidate the winners, keep it simple
