This is fascinating to me. Investigative journalist Jeremy Scahill reports that midway through indirect talks to end the war, Tehran’s negotiating team added two senior psychologists to help craft messages to Trump. They were experts in the fields of cognitive impairment and anti-social behavior, and they were added to manage what an official described as "the American President’s psychopathic behavior pattern.” See follow-up tweet.

In game Torts tore up a highly successful power play setup & replaced it w something ineffective. He had no tactical answers & reverted to a haphazard and abundant line blending that he is known for. And of course the stubbornness about no goalie change for any chance of a spark.

Maybe some subjective aspects to the switch, but in the circumstance it speaks more to the quality of the players' spirit & willingness to play hockey the right way, and the quality of the captain - who didn't seem to be able to act as an intermediary if there were issues at all.

The fact is, Tortorella objectively did not bring anything (on the positive side) to the Knights. He did not change the base system they used. He did not bring better coaching during the playoffs in the form of adaptability. He did not make wise decisions - on multiple levels.

Just watched Code of Misconduct, wow that trial has more questions and strange decisions than I thought. Regardless of the outcome of the trial what those players did is deplorable, it would have only taken one of them to stand up for EM for that night to have gone differently
