Is AI the most empowering technology of our lifetime? I wanted a program to help me keep track of numerous things. With the help of @cursor and @anthropic (Sonnet 3.5) I wrote it. I wanted a song for a friend struggling with a health crisis, so I wrote one and produced it with @SunoMusic and published it on @Spotify using @DistroKid so he could "add it to his play list". I wanted to learn about physics, so I had @grok tutor me. I wanted a low carb no added sugar recipe for cookies, so I had @ChatGPTapp help me make one. I mean, you could easily argue the Internet was necessary to make AI work so well, but AI seems to be a universal life hack if you put in a little effort.

Here’s another example: Hugging Face tried using American frontier models to analyze an AI-powered cyber attack. But the guardrails blocked requests containing real exploit payloads so they switched to GLM 5.2 running locally. The guardrails actually impaired defensive security.

@DavidSacks We had this experience ourselves this week! Very scary to be guardrailed as a defender when you know attackers are likely bypassing

Kimi K3 just fixed 15 critical security bugs that Codex and Fable refused because of “cyber guardrails.” There’s no reason to limit American models on tasks that Chinese models handle without issue. We’re only making ourselves less competitive.
calle@callebtc

I have a report full of security issues of a software I'm working on. Codex won't fix them because of Cyber guardrails Fable won't fix them because of Cyber guardrails Kimi K3 fixed them all. No restrictions, just gets the job done. This will end badly for OpenAI & Anthropic.

@BridgetPhetasy This is excellent, and I really appreciate how the interviewer just gave him time and you can just see him processing. He knows what was just said is one of the more powerful things he's heard in an interview. Love is awesome.

I don’t want to hear any politician ask for one more tax dollar ever. I definitely don’t want to hear them ask when they’ve neither reclaimed the trillions of dollars lost to fraud nor created a mechanism to stop massive fraud the future.

Hey James, I bookmarked this earlier because I have a take on the AI music side of things that might interest you. I think the agency over being able to create music that is great for us, or people we share interests with is very powerful. My foray into it started on a whim, I'd seen that @hovinthenorth shared some music he created for his family. At the time I had a friend who had been dealing with some heavy stuff, so I decided to give the AI music thing a go and write a song for them. It really impacted my friend, their loved ones and me actually. If the lyrics are authentic and you capture emotion I think it's one of the most powerful mediums available to us right now. Looking back now I have a significant amount of time invested and mostly listen to my own music. It's become part of my outer brain, and allowed me to express "artistic" creativity because AI fills the roles that I have zero skill and could only dream of doing. It's incredible what we can create now. Just like other leaps in tech before, photoshop, etc. this follows suit into areas that most of us could only dream to step.

I think music, video, etc continues to get better. The one thing that (my theory) will not get better as quality writing (depending how you define quality). Writing might be different. Most of the writing online right now is written by older LLMs so new LLMs are only learning writing from older versions of itself. So writing hits a plateau. I wonder, with music, if like chess, we need a human to create it in order to truly appreciate it. Like when I hear "Sign of the Times", I cry. I don't think I would cry if it were sung by a computer and if the lyrics were generated by a computer.
Jonathan Levitt@JonathanLevitt7

@jaltucher I have a similar view of people (especially musicians) who condemn anything AI as 'slop' when the truth is that AI music is generally pretty good, especially when done with a competent human, and a great deal of human music is total slop.

Hello Mrs. Owens, You told millions of people that Tyler Robinson "wasn't even there." That you felt "confident stating that Tyler Robinson did not kill murder Charlie Kirk." He was on camera. Prone on the Losi rooftop at 12:22. Shot at 12:23:28. DNA on the screwdriver at 30 quintillion to one. DNA on the rifle at 1.7 octillion to one. He told his family what he did. His parents helped him surrender. He texted his roommate: "I am, I'm sorry." He engraved "Hey Fascist! Catch!" on the ammunition a month before he used it. You said police "didn't even question" Lance Twiggs. He was interviewed twice. FBI the morning after. Joint state-federal team seven months later. His own attorney. Voluntary phone surrender. You laughed when you said it. You told Shawn Ryan a shaped charge killed Charlie. That PETN was in his microphone. The medical examiner says gunshot wound. Bullet fragments were recovered from his body. A .30-06 Mauser with Robinson's DNA was found in the woods. Neither side — not prosecution, not defense — has mentioned explosives. Not once in four days. You said the shot came from below. The Losi building is above the amphitheater. You called Erika Kirk a "clinical psychopath" to an audience of millions. You said the assassination was "an occult ritual." You said Charlie was "sitting in a pentagram." You told people Israel killed him because he refused Netanyahu. You made over a hundred episodes. You built a franchise on a dead man's name. And the hardest fact of all: Tyler Robinson's own defense lawyers — the people whose entire career is on the line to get him acquitted — have refused to make a single one of your arguments. Not one. They're challenging DNA methodology. They are doing their jobs. You were doing something else entirely. Charlie Kirk changed my life. He platformed my work when nobody knew who I was. He had my back when I was doxxed. I was the ten-thousandth most important person in his world and I will never be able to repay him. So I did what I know how to do. I read every transcript. I watched every hour of testimony. I cataloged your claims and I held them up against what was said under oath. Every single one failed. I don't know why you did this. I'm not going to speculate on your motives, because that would make me exactly the kind of analyst I've spent my career refusing to be. But I know what you did. You told people confident lies about a dead man's murder, and millions of them believed you, and some of them turned that belief into threats against his widow. The trial continues. And every day of sworn testimony is another day your words get tested against reality... under oath, on the record, where it counts. I'll be here for all of it... because just as Charlie defended me, I will do what little I can to defend his legacy and @TPUSA and @MrsErikaKirk from evil.

No, @AndrewKolvet—that would be you. The debilitating narcissism it took to believe that you could hijack Charlie’s legacy—his show, his organization, and pervert his vision. You lied about what he believed in, who his friends were, and what and who he feared in the last days of his life. You shamelessly sold replicas of the T-shirt that he bled out in with profits directed to the LLC that you own a stake in. Not “for Charlie”— but for you, Judas. You displayed the tent he died under, and partnered with the very people he HATED all for money. You presented a grieving widow as an excuse but forgot to instruct her to actually grieve. You hoped the people wouldn’t notice. You all thought you could pull it off. You had Kash Patel, the DOJ, the President, the White House Administration, Journalists, and the Vegas mafia on speed dial. You naturally thought you guys were too big to fail but you forgot what made Charlie great and how he won. Charlie never thought he was above the people or his employees. He always debated and never relied on his Rolodex. You coronated Erika like it was her birthright and sneered at people for asking common sense questions. You forgot that it was Charlie’s ability to communicate and listen to people from different walks of life that made him unique. In the process you crashed and burned the organization he built. But Charlie was always bigger than Turning Point USA. He has changed the world despite what you’ve done. Let TPUSA lay in the ashes of your deceit. The world knows he was betrayed. The spirit of what Charlie built lives on with the people who are fighting for real justice.
Andrew Kolvet@AndrewKolvet

See, your big problem is that this entire thing is not about you, Candace. It’s about Charlie. It’s about Erika. It’s about his kids and his legacy. But time and time again you’ve hijacked Charlie’s story by smearing and slandering his wife, his org, and his friends (and countless other people). Now you’re even crashing out with the “I’m not suicidal” nonsense. It’s not about YOU, Candace. And yes, I have questions. I’ve always had them. I’ve voiced them publicly before. But unlike you, I choose not to recklessly smear innocent people, orgs, companies, and entire countries without actual PROOF of wrongdoing. You, by contrast, target innocent people, ruin their lives for sport, inspire a wave of harassment and death threats against them, before predictably moving on to your next harebrained “theory” when that one collapses. You literally manufacture content for your next show. It’s truly one of the most vile, disgusting displays in the history of the internet. Record breaking levels of idiocy and wickedness combined in one person. You’ve attempted to appropriate everyone else’s grief and honest searching and replaced it with Egyptian planes and exploding mics. What an awful trade for the country and the world. You’re a record breaking narcissist, Candace. But your credibility is also collapsing at record breaking speed. Enjoy the crash out.
