It’s insane. Putin has refused the 1,000-for-1,000 prisoner exchange. This prisoner exchange was a condition for the ceasefire—and, consequently, for Ukraine’s agreement not to attack the parade in Moscow. Trump, too, announced on Truth Social: a ceasefire plus an exchange of 1,000 prisoners on each side. Putin—that piece of shit in human form—has once again lied to the entire world.

@MichaelAArouet What do we need innovation for? We have everything we need to survive. We need to disribute wealth better, so even the most unfortunate people get a chance to contribute. The best driver of invention is access to free housing, food, health and education for 8billion people.

In most countries billionaires are self-made. They invent new products or services that drive progress. In Germany, Spain, Italy, and France, most billionaires inherited their wealth. Europe has simply lost the entrepreneurial spirit that once drove innovation and prosperity.

With a Supermajority Tisza will be capable of Constitutional Change. Meaning there will never again appear a Hungarian Sovereignist Party. This loss is great, people will remember these elections for decades. But unlike other times in history, we elected ourselves into a client state status. The EU will make brutal changes in Hungary so another sovereignist and nationalist will not rise again. Repression will be made on levels not seen since Trianon or post 1848-1849 War of Independence.

On two occasions today, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers rammed UNIFIL vehicles with a Merkava tank, in one case causing significant damage. The soldiers had blocked a road in Bayada that is used to access UNIFIL positions.

Since productivity cannot grow to infinity, countries already at higher levels and closer to the technological frontier naturally grow slower in percentage terms. Germany just needs to fix its lunatic energy policy. But German people are hard-working, just like the polish 🇪🇺🇩🇪🇵🇱

I love Poland🇵🇱 but this is unjust Germany🇩🇪 bashing. The German level of labour productivity (GDP per hour worked) is about 65% higher than the Polish one. The Polish productivity growth rate is higher mostly because Poland starts from much lower levels (classic convergence) 👇

One reason Poland is the growth champion and Germany the sick man of Europe is productivity growth. Poles understand that they need to work hard for a better life. Many Germans follow left narratives of “tax the rich” and look for government jobs instead of starting a business.

@Peter10665564 @front_ukrainian US didn't help Europe in Ukraine, it helped Ukraine in Ukraine. Because back in the good old days the US and Russia were adversaries

❗️European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas stated that Europe cannot expand its presence in the Strait of Hormuz while Russia’s war against Ukraine continues. She emphasized that the Gulf countries have not supported efforts to restrain Moscow, and stressed that cooperation cannot be one-sided.

German game studios in the 80s and 90s didn't have the same resources or international reach as their UK, US, or Japanese counterparts. Massive hits that crossed borders were relatively rare. Giana Sisters was probably the biggest German-made success of the 1980s, while The Settlers took that title in the 1990s (at least from what I remember of that time). One game (and its sequels) from that era that deserved far more success - and sometimes feels a little forgotten today - is Battle Isle, or more specifically its sequel Battle Isle 2 (Blue Byte, 1994). How it wasn't a bigger commercial hit still surprises me. Maybe it was the limited market or the lack of strong marketing power - who knows? It certainly wasn't the gameplay, which was simply excellent for a turn-based strategy title. The game even brought some real innovations. It was the first CD-ROM strategy game to feature 3D combat animations and unit displays created with raytracing and vector graphics. Granted, that was mostly eye candy, but it helped the game stand out from others in the genre that could sometimes feel dry and too plain, especially to newcomers. It also offered a huge variety of units for air, sea, and ground combat, along with 12 experience levels for each unit that greatly affected battle outcomes. The controls were straightforward enough for new players to pick up quickly, the maps varied in size and terrain (forcing you to adapt your strategies), and the pixel-style in-game cutscenes were a great touch. I couldn't get enough of the Battle Isle series - parts 1, 2, and 3 were all excellent, and the later spin-off Incubation was great too. The whole series is gravely underrated and overlooked. It remains one of my all-time favourites, yet I often wonder how many non-German players have even heard of it.

@Omiron33 @RealDanODowd I watched it and yes itbwas impressive but it did handle the situation wrong. It should have significantly reduced speed. Yes it react faster than humans. But it can not know the road conditions. What if there was oil on the road. No lightning reactions is handling that.
