Yesterday was one of the most painful days since we started Ace Data Cloud. Our official X account was hacked. The attacker changed the email and password, locked us out, blocked our admins, and posted a fake “airdrop claim” website. Because of that, some people in our community had their wallets drained. Watching this happen and not being able to stop it in time was heartbreaking. 😣 As soon as we realized what was happening, we posted warnings in our Discord and from the founder’s personal X account, asking everyone not to click the link or sign anything. Unfortunately, the reach was limited and many people still didn’t see the warnings in time. At the same time, we were in constant contact with X support to prove ownership of the account and request recovery. 🫶The account has now been fully recovered and all malicious posts and links have been removed. We’ve: - Reset all credentials and email - Added extra protection and monitoring - Reviewed our internal processes to reduce the chance of this ever happening again On-chain transactions can’t simply be reversed. We know some of you suffered real losses, and for that we are deeply, deeply sorry. We are also preparing to migrate to a new $ACE token and build a healthier, more sustainable flywheel around Ace Data Cloud. As we go through this migration, we will seriously explore, within realistic limits and in the founder’s personal capacity, whether there is any way to offer some form of support to people affected by this incident. We can’t promise anything specific yet, but we will not ignore what happened.
