Rockstar fans in the comments don't get that they could make their games better by criticizing weak aspects, but I guess they're happy with nothing but graphical upgrades and tiny iterations on pre-existing mechanics.

Been playing Crimson all day today. I'm legitimately impressed by the sheer detail in this world and the clear RDR2 inspiration
Cutscenes play like RDR2: as Kliff approaches a character, the scene seamlessly transitions into a cutscene, just like RDR2.

crimson desert is often almost freakishly good looking, and i particularly like their old school texturing which doesn't feature a lot of really complicated blends, and moreso tileable, single material textures. so in some ways it feels like an absolutely insane looking 360 game

@Hal10100067 @JohnnySobczak Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE Oppenheimers third act. We get some of the best scenes in the movie. Everything with Strauss, the ENDING???, I mean unreal, but Dune Part 2s act 3 actually cannot be compared.

It’s almost exactly 45 minutes from Paul taking the Water of Life to the credits.
Maybe the most propulsive 3rd act in any modern blockbuster. 1/4 of the movie going by like a freight train. Just an incredible feat of direction + editing, bolstered by Zimmer’s immaculate score.

Not many games have this because it leads to an absurd amount of dialogue that needs to be voiced, which isn't feasible unless you skip localizing different languages. I rarely use it. It doesn't really add much to the experience for me, but it's really cool and I get the appeal.

The only game that is closest to Red Dead Redemption 2 Greet/Antagonize mechanism definitely is Kingdom Come Deliverance II. In Crimson Desert, you can greet NPCs and threaten them but Cliff as a protagonist doesn't talk much if not at all.
