Market rate for Aaron Gordon - who I think is a pretty good comparison for what Ausar brings to the table - was 30m aav.
Other "Wings with something to prove" like TM3 and Jaden McDaniels were 25m ish.
What Ausar is doing, right now, is probably worth 27-32.

Listening to todays pistons pulse with @omarisankofa and @MotorCityHoops A point of contention, which Omari mentioned very briefly but I’ll push heavier on, is that I don’t think Ausar being paid 30-33 million AAV is betting on him improving on offense. I think Ausar as of May 25th, 2026 is worth 30+ million dollars. If he IMPROVES offensively, you’re not talking about “oh he’s worth the contract now” it’s very much like Omari briefly mentioned “oh shit you might have the best value contract in the entire NBA.” Ausar taking a step offensively next season launches him into different tax brackets that the Pistons desperately want to avoid

NY is a mediocre matchup for CLE, I don't think they're a HORRID matchup, but also I do think the Pistons absolutely gassed the Cavs out.

@CrypLasagna @KuKhahil I would be very reluctant to trade Ron to anyone who doesn't consider him worth a top 10 pick value. If someone's willing to take 2 of our future "bad" firsts off the table for Ron, I would consider it.
If someone wants 3 1sts AND thinks Ron is a throw in, no.

Agreed trading up is costing a first and some seconds minimum. If you can get Trey for 2-3 firsts we’d have 1-2 left like you mentioned for 4 years.
I really like a cade ausar trey duren yax core though, to build around.
Would you rather include Ron and stew in the above scenario and keep a pick or two?
Or trade up for Yax, and use 2 firsts for Kwahi? Albeit have a shorter window in this scenario.

I am really out on Rui but beyond that none of these poeple matter and I have no opinions about where they should go until they make the trade. Their offseason doesn't start until they make their splash.

And I don't think trading up for Yax is a cheap proposition. I'm not sure it doesn't take a first and sasser and some 2nds.
