Derrick Martin stashed large quantities of drugs and cash in an apartment where a child slept just feet from a loaded, micro draco pistol, a gun that fired the same bullets as an AK-47 assault rifle. With 31 prior arrests, this career criminal posed a clear danger to our community. The streets are safer now that we have put an end to this one-man crime spree.

Yesterday, Derrick Thomas Martin, 33, a previously convicted felon residing in the District of Columbia, was convicted by a federal jury on four federal charges stemming from his 2024 arrest before which he flung a backpack containing a loaded firearm and substantial quantities of cocaine and fentanyl from an apartment building window. Members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Apprehension Unit went to arrest Martin on an outstanding warrant from Cecil County, Maryland. Martin had failed to appear for trial on charges of illegal firearm possession and drug distribution. As officers knocked at the apartment door, Martin opened a window and threw a black backpack onto the street below which was captured by an officer’s bodycam. Police recovered the bag which was found to contain a loaded Century Arms Micro Draco semi-automatic pistol, about 700 grams of cocaine, and over 5,700 fentanyl pills. I think some of this discrimination is caused by Islamic clerics urging their followers to kill 'infidels' For some reason, the infidels resent this. They especially dislike the idea of being beheaded Maybe the clerics could tone it down a bit ?

When a Muslim fasts during Ramadan, no one dares to eat or drink in their presence. No group demands accommodation in public spaces as a minority while refusing to grant it as a majority more than Muslim communities. The societies where diversity has been disappearing over the past 200 years have all been Muslim-majority ones. Spare us the pandering. There is no such thing as Islamophobia; it is a term invented by political Islam to shield itself from criticism and calls for modernization and change. Muslim intellectuals should step up and refuse Western censorship that kills desperately required Muslim reforms from within.

After 5 weeks in the hospital & learning her cancer had spread. She wanted family photos. I didn’t feel like smiling & taking family pictures but I’m so glad I did. The last family photo before she passed. Lesson= Guys just smile & take the damn picture. You will be glad you did.
