In college wrestling, if you ride out your opponent in the first 30 second tiebreaker, going underneath makes almost no sense. You can go neutral and just not give up points in 30 seconds and you'd win. There are still some coaches that don't seem to understand the new (but not that new) TB rules.

Here’s an idea for running an event… start the night with your most exciting, most anticipated match! Then build to your least competitive match at the end. The ufc and other sporting events do it wrong. Have your best match of the event on the prelims! Smart.

I was covering 3 duals going on simultaneously and did not see it happen so I could not give a fair description of it. Also see little need to call out the specific HS kid in this situation.

I missed it last night, but nationally ranked Marist lost its dual team state (IL 3A) play-in match to Mt. Carmel on criteria because of a team point deduction during the course of the dual meet. It was 34-34 (7-7) going to criteria, which was the deduction.
