@AOC Thank you for your service. It inspires hope in a dark time. I can’t imagine the amount of vitriol you receive for having the audacity to stand up for basic human rights (and, let’s be honest- for being a young, intelligent, female of color) but know you are appreciated.

I was hesitant to post about something as important as this issue on social media because posting something is so easy and can feel superficial. But after a week of gut wrenching news stories, I realize silence is way worse than my insecurities. We need to do better.
