I finally got around to watching the Sweet 16 highlights—tough to relive. That was a game they had in their hands. No question, they would’ve beaten UConn in the Elite Eight.

Yes, Tarik Skubal and Framber Valdez are great arms. Still, you just never feel like this offense has a chance of punching back. It’s only worse with a lefty starter on the mound. Happy to get IKF in there again. Another 10 K day with some brutal chases. Not the qualities you want for an offense that doesn’t hit home runs. Depressing.

UConn will be targeting centers in the transfer portal now that they have none on roster.
There is still the option for Reibe to return, but getting a center is now the Huskies’ No. 1 priority. Already was important with the Tarris Reed Jr. graduating.
