Since $NVDA became the face of the ChatGPT era, it’s had multiple brutal drawdowns: • -22% (Sep - Oct 2023) • -22% (Mar - Apr 2024) • -35% (Jun - Aug 2024) • -43% (Jan - Apr 2024) • -19% (Oct 2025 - Today) And yet… the stock is still up ~1,300% over that same stretch. Now look at $MU: Fresh off a strong earnings report… down ~22%. Not saying Micron is the next Nvidia. Just a reminder: Big corrections happen inside big winners. Short-term price moves don’t always reflect the bigger picture.

@hamids This has already been proven technically false in a variety of use cases including safety tests. That doesn’t mean Waymo’s operation is not impressive today, but vision only AI is superior, especially for scaling

@2getherChanging @KevinMelnuk Agreed. But my opinion is that the multi-sensor approach might be better.

What are you really trying to prove with this comparison? Maybe both approaches are valid—and each company is carving its own lane. Why does there have to be a “right” or “wrong” path to autonomy? The real goal isn’t ideology… it’s results. Be multiple times safer than a human driver. That’s the only metric that matters.

@OrlandoLorenzo All the safety stats that I’ve seen show more accidents per mile on Tesla than Waymo. And Tesla has a much smaller fleet.

@hamids That’s a stretch. Tesla has already surpassed Waymo in ride quality and safety, and Waymo relies on a gazillion lidars. Uber’s CEO shouldn’t be taken seriously when talking about competitors, especially one that threatens their entire business model.

The reason stocks go down is that there are more sellers than buyers and it goes up when there are more buyers than sellers. 😜 Joking aside, we talk about Micron in-depth in the episode. It's worth watching. But it's not uncommon for the market to get things wrong for a while. It's also possible that we're wrong and the market is way smarter than us.
