The NHS workforce plan appears to be a plan for a low cost, low skills NHS. Apprenticeships and a four year medical course will erode the quality of medical training. There is nowhere in the world where they have medical apprenticeships or four year medical course for undergraduates.

NI regional @GMB_union organisr Alan Perry is on @BBCRadioUlster talking about strikes. Says lowest civil service pay is £20k & he doesn't know anyone who could live on that. The avrge salary in all of Derry was only £15k a few yrs ago! A wee trip to NW would do Alan some good 👍

@CharSquires @beans2er @djbeckett @arrowkmr @weeSAMScotland All outpatient psych letters where I work are copied to the patient. Was a big change for me and def made me more thoughtful when writing. Often tricky to balance objective observations and clinical opinion against pt’s opinion as often are not matched. Def good for IDLs I’d say!
