ur situation jst reminded me of this other situation. ur not quite a decade in, but once ur engaged and ur STILL waiting more than a year then like… there was this one couple here that was engaged for like 3 or 4yrs or smthing and then jst got courthouse married 😭 like what was the point in waiting. they separated/divorced like a year after tho coz the dude was cheating on his wife even tho they have a kid and everything tg. probs why he (or she) kept putting off getting married tbh
