I had a conversation with Mag a few days ago about what the end of this year could have looked like in a different universe where Cosmos Labs moved forward with Cosmos EVM on the Hub. Mag, Barry, and the rest of the Cosmos Labs team do not get enough credit for making that decision when they did. It was a deeply unpopular decision at the time but in retrospect was an extremely prescient one and it's no understatement for Mag to say it likely saved the ecosystem hundreds of millions. Tbh it took me a couple of months to come to terms with the fact that the Hub EVM idea was a bad one. The turning point for me was when Arc and Tempo were announced within a couple weeks of each other in August. If you check my tweets at the time you'll start to see the point where I realized that existing market structures around blockchain were likely not going to be the future of the space, and the winners over the next several years would be the teams that focus on building out critical infrastructure for enterprise usecases. x.com/RoboMcGobo/sta… It was this thesis that ultimately led me to join Cosmos Labs. Every day since, I've only gained more and more conviction that the enterprise roadmap was the right call. Retail usecases are dying off in droves, across all ecosystems (even historically retail-focused ecosystems like Solana) while new enterprise usecases are finding on-chain homes in droves. Cosmos is carving out its share of that pie, and doing much better at it than you might expect by following along with the mindless CT noise from KOLs and influencers that lack vision. Looking forward to showing people just how wrong they were in 2026. The question is no longer whether we've made the right bet. We clearly have. The question now is whether we'll win the institutional space race. Nobody is better positioned to do so than Cosmos. We're off to a great start. 2026 is going to be our year.
