Semmelweis published his findings in 1961 book: “Etiology, Concept and Prophylaxis of Childbed Fever." Despite decreased mortality that washing hands before delivering the babies produced, medical community rejected it. #handwashing #handhygiene #infectionprevention #crileymd 2/
