“There is no place in Nigeria where terrorists will find safety. We will locate them, confront them, and completely defeat them. “Nigeria will not succumb to fear”—President Tinubu
Bola Ahmed Tinubu@officialABAT

The recent news from Maiduguri, Borno State, is profoundly upsetting. I mourn those who lost their lives, sympathise with the injured and stand in solidarity with the people of Borno during this challenging time. I want to make it categorically clear that these acts of terror are the final desperate and frantic attempts by criminals and terrorist elements trying to instil and spread fear, as they are under constant pressure from our brave armed forces and security agencies operating in various theatres. We will continue to intensify our efforts against all criminal elements, wherever they may be. I must commend the courage and fighting spirit of our patriotic troops who successfully repelled the coordinated attacks by these terrorists on military positions in the state. The Monday attacks were desperate acts of the evil-minded terrorist groups. Our gallant military and civilian task forces will curtail and put them down. Just last weekend, during a security meeting with leaders of security and intelligence agencies, I approved additional equipment and operational support to enhance their capabilities. This effort is already in progress. Additionally, I have directed security chiefs to move to Maiduguri to take charge of the situation. I have also directed the emergency agencies to provide proper care for the injured. There is no place in Nigeria where terrorists will find safety. We will locate them, confront them, and completely defeat them. Nigeria will not succumb to fear. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria

Putin has never wanted to stop Russia's war against Ukraine. He has been afraid of President Trump and of pressure from the United States. That's why he has played this game, pretending he has wanted negotiations. I keep believing that America has to increase pressure on Putin. Otherwise, he will not negotiate in good faith. He only wants to put forward ultimatums to Ukraine, as his demand to withdraw from our territory. But this will not satiate his appetite. The situation around Iran brings him more money. The easing of sanctions imposed on Russia is also helpful for him. Our intelligence reports that due to all the sanctions imposed by the United States and the EU, and because of our deep strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, Russia faced a deficit of more than $100 billion in 2026 alone. Now we see they have made around 10 billion over two weeks of the war in the Middle East. This is really dangerous. It gives Putin more confidence that he can continue the war. Couldn’t sleep well because generator broke down & inverter was drained. The now disgraced country with irresponsible leaders! All citizens ask for is light at night so we can sleep peacefully without sweating. We are not even asking for 24hrs light because we know Nigerian leaders are too useless to provide such. Same societal issues I was shouting and doing Aluta for 30yrs ago are still the issues today. Things never get better in Nigeria.

South Korea has no oil reserves. Zero. But when prices spiked, their government moved in days to cap fuel prices, inspect gas stations for price gouging, and secure 6 million extra barrels from the UAE. Nigeria produces over 1.5 million barrels of oil a day. What exactly is our excuse again?
