Hanji deployed on @monad in stealth weeks ago and is now top 2 in weekly volume. Hanji's orderbook has: - fully onchain execution & settlement - zero maker fees & near-zero taker fees - a vault-based liquidity model for fees and spread capture You can try it now 👇

🧵 The shift is simple from paying for liquidity to structuring it Incentives bootstrap execution sustains Hanji is building for that layer

spreads and slippage get mixed up a lot they’re not the same thing on CLOBs, the key cost is the spread the gap between best bid and best ask on AMMs, the key cost is slippage the price moving against you as your order pushes through the curve that difference matters With orderbooks: • liquidity sits at clear price levels • traders see the market before they hit it • execution is more precise With AMMs: • liquidity is distributed across a curve • bigger size moves price faster • execution gets less predictable as volume grows small trade? maybe fine on both larger trade? the difference becomes obvious fast CLOBs show you the spread AMMs make you discover the slippage That’s why serious on-chain trading needs orderbooks

🧵 That’s what creates real depth You can immediately see: • how much size the market can absorb • where liquidity sits • how the book reacts

🧵 Orderbooks structure liquidity differently Capital sits at specific price levels Market makers dynamically adjust spreads Liquidity re-quotes when volatility increases

A short thread 🧵 Liquidity depth vs TVL: why depth is the real metric for on-chain trading DeFi loves to flex TVL But traders don’t trade TVL They trade liquidity depth
