Hanji deployed on @monad in stealth weeks ago and is now top 2 in weekly volume. Hanji's orderbook has: - fully onchain execution & settlement - zero maker fees & near-zero taker fees - a vault-based liquidity model for fees and spread capture You can try it now 👇

The honest reason AMMs dominate DeFi isn't that they're better markets. It's that they were easier to bootstrap. No need to seed both sides of an orderbook. No need for market makers. Drop liquidity into a pool, let the formula handle pricing. Simple. But simple isn't the same as correct AMMs don't discover price - they compute it. The formula sets the rate. Real buyers and sellers never directly interact. What looks like a market is actually a curve with arbitrageurs keeping it calibrated against external prices. That's fine for long-tail assets with thin markets. It's not fine if DeFi wants to compete with CEXs on major pairs. An orderbook changes the structure entirely. Bids and asks live on-chain. Price forms where both sides agree. Market makers compete to tighten the spread. LPs choose their levels -v they're not passively exposed to a formula rebalancing against them. This is why every serious liquid market - equities, futures, FX - runs on a CLOB. Not preference. Structural necessity. The question wasn't whether orderbooks would come onchain. It was whether the infrastructure could handle it -v matching engine, latency, throughput - without breaking. That's the problem Hanji is solving. Fully onchain CLOB. No AMM hybrid. Real depth, real spreads, real price discovery. Onchain markets should behave like real markets.

Why a market maker on a CLOB outperforms an AMM LP at the same capital It's not about skill. It's about structure AMM: your $10k sits across the entire curve. Most of it earns nothing CLOB: every dollar is posted at a specific price. It earns when it fills. Not before, not after One model rewards capital for existing The other rewards capital for pricing correctly

most traders in DeFi are renting yield from a protocol the best traders are extracting yield from the market the difference is one word: spread Here's why it's the most underrated concept in onchain finance - and how it changes everything 👇

🧵 Institutional desks have known this for decades they don't ask "what's the APY?" they ask "what's the spread?" DeFi is finally catching up. Spread is not a trading concept. It's an infrastructure concept. the protocol that wins on spread wins the volume. The volume deepens the book. The book becomes the market. that's what Hanji is building - onchain

🧵 the compounding dynamic nobody talks about: tighter spread → more fills → more rebates → more capital to deploy → tighter spread again meanwhile the book gets deeper. Deeper book attracts more volume. More volume means more fills for every maker in it. It's a flywheel. Every participant who tightens the spread makes the market better for everyone else on it.

Retail traders ask "what's the APY?" Institutional desks ask "what's the spread?" That gap is why serious markets run on orderbooks
