Buried in the article is the fact that because they have a bunch of kids they’re getting a $10k payout to leave and no less than three sets of (likely US taxpayer funded) NGO lawyers are helping them get max payout before they go including one offering a direct line to Colorado’s senators and congressmen. What American family down on their luck gets $10k and 3 different free attorneys plus taxpayer funds for medical care, food, housing etc. I missed the part where I voted for any of this or for a fleet of NGO lawyers to use my money to extract maximum taxpayer benefits for foreigners.
