On 28.09.2017, I was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for the first time, hopeless and afraid of living. Fast forward 7 years, I spent the day bird watching with my dad on my childhood nature reserve, drinking hot chocolate and feeling so content. Recovery is always possible.

It still amazes me how many people connected with my story and the amount of support I’ve gained this year. 8 years after my admission and I’m now writing a book about reconnecting with nature during anorexia recovery. ‘Bird Feeder’ publishes in 2027 - 🔗 in bio to learn more.

After 5 years of searching, we’ve FINALLY seen the annual Bonaparte’s gull at Oare Marshes 🤩
