People bringing up the Tim Kelly trade as to why we’re in this position are genuine morons, we were one year removed from a flag and traded for one of the best players in the game, he finished top 5 in the Brownlow Medal that year and was 25 odd years old, any team in our position would’ve traded two late firsts and junk seconds for Kelly. You can try and revise history all you want but I remember reading a lot of articles stating our midfield was going to be unstoppable, obviously in hindsight it didn’t quite work out, but I’m sick to death of people acting like 99% of footy fans and journos didn’t think we were bonafide contenders going into 2020 after acquiring him.
