A great day's training with our Volunteer Ian. The searches proved to be a challenge for the boys because of the temperature, but shorter search times and plenty of breaks and water had them achieving a 100% success rate!

Sunday Search Dog! 🐾🐾 Reqs Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service Reqs was a black Labrador who served as a Fire Investigation Search Dog for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. He retired in July 2023 after 11 years of service, during which he attended over 500 fire scenes.

Ruby served the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight between 2014 and 2019, helping investigators to secure many convictions. Dogs lives are too short, that's their only fault, really. Agnes Sligh Turnbull.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Retired Fire Investigation Search Dog Ruby, aged 14 1/2 years. After a long illness, Ruby was today put to sleep in her home with her family and familiar smells and sounds around her. Run free, Ruby.

Happy 1st Birthday to Trainee Fire Investigation Search Dogs Red and Saxon. They came to us at eight weeks old and immediately started their training. They've developed into two of the keenest, most focused, inquisitive and dare I say mischievous boys!
