One of my shuyūkh told us a story of a Muslim man who wanted to marry a non-Muslim woman from Italy. His parents said that she’s not allowed in their household until she becomes Muslim.
Eventually, she became a Muslim, started wearing the ḥijāb, prayed the obligatory prayers, etc.
Then she later found out that her in-laws (the same ones who said that she can’t enter their household until she becomes Muslim) were not even praying their obligatory 5 daily prayers.
She asked her husband: “Does Islām give you a retirement from prayer when you reach old age?”.

Windsor still doesn't have its own mosque despite years of efforts by the local Muslim community to acquire one.
5Pillars understands that several thousands Muslims live in the area, but have to pray in community centres because the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead keeps blocking efforts to establish a new mosque.
In 2020, planning permission for a mosque was denied on the grounds of harming the greenbelt, and noise and traffic pollution.
Windsor Muslim Association then applied to buy the community centre in the images below to transform into a mosque and community centre.
But at a council meeting last month it was decided to sell the property to housing developers.
Meanwhile, Windsor Muslims have to travel to Slough or Maidenhead for adequate mosque facilities.
