@kinsellawarren Feels like this country is on death row due to Liberal mismanagement. Garbage policies that have caused Canada to massively degrade. I’ve never wanted to leave. Always thought I’d raise my kids here. Not so sure anymore.

Another day, another defection. Can Poilievre survive death by a 1,000 floor-crossers? Maybe. He's assisted by his Calgary result, by support from the base, by the lack of a successor in the wings. Still feels like he's on death row, with no execution date set yet. #cdnpoli

Folks become Conservative because they ARE educated (tough institutional degree), develop critical thinking skills and are mathematically proficient. Life experince and being a parent also come into play. Our most successful citizens are almost always Conservative. Deep understanding of economics, budgets, money managing, etc. Go to any elite business school and poll the students. Or executives at any company. Poll engineers. Or entrepreneurs. There is a commonality.

The Canadian Left keep making psychopathic arguments whenever over-spending is brought up. "Oh so you want to cut healthcare and not let little Billy have his surgery???" Goodness, why when we want to reduce wasteful admin and HR spending Liberal and NDP politicians always immediately bring up something like a small child not getting healthcare or an old woman being pushed down the stairs. How about we chew gum and walk at the same time. They are like dealing with Zoomers on Caleb Hammer's Financial Audit show. "Oh so you think I shouldn't eat food!?!" Lol no just stop going to Sephora every week, shopping on Amazon for random garbage and eating out when you can easily cook at home. Liberals/NDP have the mentality of spoiled children who don't understand the concept of saving money and denying yourself frills for the sake of your own financial security.

100%. Also, just because some things went down doesn’t mean others didn’t go up including private sector investment + R&D. Their per capita number still dwarfs Canada. I’ve worked in the field for decades and have 1st hand experience in both countries. It’s pretty obvious the US is the place to go for STEM graduates.

@SMmamashack @HarSmiP @WeAreCanProud Certain things seeing a decreased or cancelled budget doesn't mean they'll drop below Canada on R&D spending. They'll still be ahead of us on a per capita basis.

#REPORT: 120,000 Canadians moved to a foreign country in 2025, with 55% of them being "mid-career professionals in peak-earning years." The data also shows that doctors, engineers and scientists are leaving Canada at DOUBLE the rate of low-skilled workers.

@SMmamashack @dont73 @WeAreCanProud Say what you want against RFK…it doesn’t change the fact that it’s better for CAN STEM graduates in the US than CAN for a plethora of reasons. Not perfect but much better.

@dont73 @HarSmiP @WeAreCanProud It does. RFK is a nutjob, who believes I. Bullshit medical cospiracy theories while taking HGH and whatever other steroids he us on. He is in the right track when it comes to processed food but that's about it

Man, if we do leave I’ll be happy to get away from absolute left-wing morons like you. Are you in grade 1? PeePee? You serious? Not a bot at all. We’d leave as pay is a lot higher, more job certainty, far more opportunity to move up, way better funding environment, larger private sector and more affordable living standards on average.

@Frederi49582463 @WeAreCanProud @dont73 I thought it would be as Carney was sold as our economic Jesus but his factual/real results have been awful. Worse than Trudeau in so many ways. How’s that even possible?

That’s incorrect. While there was uncertainty last year things are returning to normal. Agreed, that many of the decisions the admin made last year were’t great but some were in regards to science, tech and health. Even with the uncertainty it’s still a far better overall environment for folks in STEM.

I’d love to see this but the youth won’t care unless the savings (or a good part of the savings) are funnelled into things like lower tuition for STEM + business students, lowered childcare for folks already not receiving it, free land for tiny homes, etc. Gotta get creative and peak interest. Do it though! Well off Boomers have god damn enough. No OAS for anyone with a fantastic pension. Especially a topped up, taxpayer-funded public sector golden pension. Spoilt boomers getting topped up pensions from folks who’ll never have one. Selfish AF.

Whoever is willing to slash the clawback threshold for OAS and message it well to the public will win the youth vote with insane margins. The premise that an elderly couple, where each person is making $96k, is eligible for full OAS benefits (over $18k combined) is inexcusable.
