I’ve finally decided to read the entire bible. So far, I’ve read Genesis and Exodus. I’m obviously really interested in reading the Gospels and New Testament. I’m debating skipping ahead to the Gospels. What do you recommend I do: Read the bible from front to back or skip ahead and read the Gospels (or entire New Testament) and then go back to the Old Testament.

@user0101123 @Biblicalman I like using the Names of God translation as my casual reading version. biblezip.com is a good free version. Then when studying I use multiple versions and discuss with others in my study group citing primary source translations and critical scholarship techniques.

I spent six months studying every verse in the KJV about hell, death, Hades, and the Lake of Fire. What I found made me shut the Bible. Sit in silence. Then open it again from Genesis and start over. Most of you have never been told what your own Bible says about the afterlife. I'm going to fix that right now. 🧵

In 2029, Apophis, a ~370m asteroid, will pass just ~31,000 km from Earth. That’s ~1/10 the distance to the Moon. Inside the orbit of geostationary satellites. Visible to the naked eye. Impact risk this time is low, but the flyby could shift its future trajectory. A direct hit would mean a ~1 km crater and regional devastation. That’s why becoming multiplanetary matters.

This sounds like some form of telepathy—a feature I believe humanity may have once had and lost. Hopefully we regain it in the resurrection.
