@GitanaTermomix @SuperMarxBro @vintagemapstore No, you missed it. I said we didn’t say EE UU in schools and you lost the plot.
I don’t care what you use. But this was the first time I’ve ever seen it. Including my time in school. Now that I know it’s Spanish, I understand why. Everything in American schools is in English.
English

@Hard__Truths @SuperMarxBro @vintagemapstore You missed it again. I’m not asking you to say EE.UU, I’m telling you that my use of it is historically backed by the fact that Spain named and settled those places before US even existed. You’re just living in a house Spain built and arguing about the color of the mailbox. 😂
English

That’s because the world map is a lie. 🤣 Africa was drawn small for a reason. He who writes your story controls your imagination and your power
Africa First@AfricaFirsts
Please explain it to me like I’m 5 years old

@brunbitty Psilocybin mushroom. Once I get it down the attacker's throat I just need to stay agile for 20 minutes until they cease aggressions and begin to seriously consider their life choices that the garden gnome has brought to their attention.
English

@Melancholy_Cool Well, everyone is entitled to an opinion. It’s just if you have one — “they wanted to makeEurope look bigger for benefits” — it should jibe with the facts: there are no benefits, and other places got an even bigger benefit in Europe. But you do you.
English

@BoVanston @Melancholy_Cool @Sebabi_M @endofunk_ But if the argument is “they wanted to make Europe look big”, it doesn’t look that big. Especially in comparison to other less important parts of the world. Which diminishes this argument.
English

@Hard__Truths @Melancholy_Cool @Sebabi_M @endofunk_ It was chosen because it keeps the latitudes correct. This was particularly important for maritime navigation. Greenland and Canada were hardly relevant at the time this map was popularized.
English

@Melancholy_Cool @Sebabi_M @endofunk_ Yes, lat/long are straight lines, and the shapes of coastlines are correct. These were for navigation, not politics.
English

@GitanaTermomix @SuperMarxBro @vintagemapstore Yes. Those are names of places. We pronounce them differently, because we Anglicize them. When we abbreviate them, we use FL, CO, LA, etc. Because that’s how we do it here. When we abbreviate United States, we use US, not EE UU.
What are you missing?
English

@Hard__Truths @SuperMarxBro @vintagemapstore It's not about the language, it's about the heritage you live in. You call it English, yet you live in Florida, California, Nevada, Colorado, or Arizona. Those aren't English words. Youre speaking Spanish every time you say where you live and it defined the map you're still using
English

@Kasparov63 Help me understand, Gary. Translate the real meaning of these unambiguous statements from the report:

@AmoneyResists Can you list what the interference was?
English

Mueller was a Republican hired by a Republican to investigate Russia’s attack on our elections. His finding that they attacked the 2016 election “in sweeping & systematic fashion” was confirmed by every intelligence agency as well as the bipartisan senate intelligence committee.
Richard Grenell@RichardGrenell
Mueller was destructive and vindictive. He ruined people for a living. He was a terrible person and responsible for one of the worst manipulations of US intelligence in history - and he did it with full knowledge that he was lying.
English

@LDS_Dems No of the 8 Americans was indicted for working with Russia to interfere with the election.
All 8 were indicted for non-related crimes committed years earlier that could have been solved with normal police work.
Do you have Google on your computer?
English

Republicans don't hate Mueller because he was wrong but because he was right.
Joe Cooprider@joecooprider
Reminder that Mueller indicted 26 Russians and 8 Americans for working together to interfere with the election. All 8 Americans were convicted in court, but 5 were pardoned by Trump.
English

@Melancholy_Cool @Sebabi_M @endofunk_ It DOES make Europe look bigger.
But since the further you get away from the equator, the bigger the distortions get, it makes Canada, Greenland, Asia and Antarctica much, MUCH bigger. These are full of brown people, and penguins.
How do these distortions benefit ANYONE?
English

@Hard__Truths @Sebabi_M @endofunk_ making the larger continents, africa and south america, and the ones that happened to be full of brown and black people look smaller, proportionally makes europe look bigger.
and europe still benefits due to mercator projection, size-wise.
English

@Melancholy_Cool @Sebabi_M @endofunk_ I think they chose it to make Greenland, Canada, Asia and Antarctica look bigger. Which it does, more so than Europe.
Bastards.
English

@Sebabi_M @endofunk_ you’re both correct.
africa looks smaller due to mercator projection which is one of many types of map projections.
they chose mercator because it kept the shape of the continents correct versus keeping the sizes of them correct.
they also chose it to make europe look bigger.
English

@Sebabi_M Yes. The map people wanted to ensure that you thought Greenland indigenous population, Asians, and Antarctica were the most important.
This woman does not understand map projections.
English

@Sebabi_M Yes. The reason is it's a Mercator projection. On a globe both size and shape ate accurate. But when you project a globe on a flat surface, either size will be inaccurate or shape will be inaccurate the further you get from the equator. Mercator favors shape accuracy.
English

@FurkanGozukara He also said the Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation and that Trump was a Russian asset.
He's also lied to Congress on multiple occasions.
Maybe we don't take Brennan's word to the bank.
English

@jaredpretender @smilingCatassin @agraybee He EXPLICITLY stated that his very comprehensive investigation could not say he HAD committed a crime.
You're like the dead people in "The Sixth Sense". You only see what you want to see, and hear what you want to hear."

English

@Hard__Truths @smilingCatassin @agraybee Bullshit — he explicitly stipulated it was NOT a traditional binary judgment
And that if they had confidence Trump had NOT committed a crime, they would say so — but didn’t say so
Ie, Trump was guilty of crimes
English

@GitanaTermomix @SuperMarxBro @vintagemapstore Our schools also do not teach this, despite "New England" and all:

English

@Hard__Truths @SuperMarxBro @vintagemapstore So your school didn't teach you that Spain owned 2/3 of the current US? That’s not a language issue, that’s just a bad curriculum, mate. 😂 Whether you say "US" or "EE.UU", the sovereignty was Spanish for 300 years. Facts don't care about your school's English-only bubble.
English

@Hard__Truths @agraybee Did not establish because Trump lied and obstructed.
Why did Trump’s campaign manager Paul Manafort meet with Konstantin Kilimnik, a know Russian asset to exchange US polling data?
