We once had something called international law. Now it feels more like international suggestions—followed only when convenient!

Dear Senator Lindsey Graham, On behalf of the Kurdish people in Kurdistan, and and the Kurdish diaspora .we sincerely thank you for your continued support of the Kurds as true and loyal allies of the United States. We have never regretted our sacrifices. Your continued support assures us that the loss of more than 15,000 Kurdish martyrs was not in vain, as their shed blood helped free the world from the brutality of ISIS. May God bless you, may God bless both of our nations, and may God bless all who stand for human rights and justice. With deep respect and gratitude, The Kurdish People of Kurdistan

Watching the deteriorating situation in Syria with great concern. The Kurds are under threat from the new Syrian government that is aligned with Turkey. It would be a disaster for America’s reputation and national security interests to abandon the Kurds, who were the chief ally in destroying the ISIS caliphate. Therefore, I will be introducing legislation this week designed to impose crippling sanctions on any government or group engaged in hostilities against the Kurds. The Save the Kurds Act, I believe, will receive strong bipartisan support and must have teeth to make it effective. Stay tuned.

I pray for President Trump and his team to make the right decisions to keep America safe at this dangerous time. History tells us the right decision is to stand by those who stand with America and sacrifice for our common cause. History also tells us that evil cannot be accommodated — it has to be defeated. I remember how sick to my stomach I felt when we abandoned our people in Benghazi. I’ll hold that against Hillary Clinton til my dying day. Our people have to include those who would be a friend of America in the face of oppression: the protestors in Iran and the brave Kurds. These are difficult decisions. But to abandon the Iranian people and the brave Kurds would be, in my view, Benghazi times a million. I am confident that President Trump, who has done a marvelous job protecting America, will make the right call. God bless President Trump and all under his command.

President Trump’s endorsement means the world to me. I am humbled by his faith in me as a Senator and as a friend. On a professional level, I am proud to have been there at the beginning when President Trump — through sheer force of will —achieved the greatest political comeback in American history. On a personal level, I genuinely enjoy our friendship. He’s an awesome golfing buddy, who I have yet to beat. I look forward to being one of the driving forces in the U.S. Senate to enact President Trump’s agenda to make America more prosperous and more secure. Thank you, Mr. President.

Five children have died from extreme cold in Kobani, Rojava (Kurdistan) after power was cut by the Ahmed al-Jolani–linked regime in Syria. Kobani is now facing a humanitarian crisis: electricity, water, and internet are all shut down. Kurds in Rojava are once again facing collective punishment and the risk of genocide—enabled by regional actors and political silence. The United States must act now.

For over a century, Kurds in Iraq, Turkey, Iran, and Syria have faced mass killings, chemical attacks, forced displacement, executions, and denial of basic rights. These are not isolated events but a long pattern of injustice that must be recognized so the suffering of the Kurdish people is never forgotten or repeated.

Ahmed al-Jolani’s forces follow the same ISIS-style ideology the U.S. fought against for years. The crimes are the same: killing civilians, abusing women, kidnapping children, and enslaving girls. Abandoning the Kurds in Syria gives these extremists space to expand. If not stopped now, they will threaten not only Kurds or Syrians—but global security.

For decades, the Kurdish people stood with the United States and the international community against terrorism, defending democracy, human rights, freedom, and justice in the Middle East. Thousands of Kurdish lives were lost in this shared struggle. Today, Kurds are being abandoned and left vulnerable to the resurgence of ISIS in Syria. This is not only a Kurdish issue, it is a global security and moral responsibility. The Kurdish people will remain on their land and continue to defend their dignity, identity, and right to self-determination.

Once again, the Kurds are reminded of a painful truth: when alliances fade and promises are broken, only the mountains remain. History repeats itself, but resilience endures. 🏔️

Unfortunately, after the U.S. green light to the Syrian government and the continued disregard of the Kurdish alliance in Syria, remaining ISIS fighters from around the world are now threatening Kurdish communities—vowing to drive them out of their lands and homes. This is a dangerous betrayal with real consequences.

The U.S. is drawing down troops in Iraq, key bases like Ain al-Assad and Baghdad Airport face withdrawal starting September 2025, with nearly complete drawdown by the end of 2026 under a new bilateral security arrangement. As American presence shrinks, Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) are gaining steam, being formalized under a new bill and positioned for greater influence, raising critical questions about sovereignty, Iranian influence, and Iraq’s future security. #Iraq #USTroopWithdrawal #PMF #SecurityShift #MiddleEast
