@kerissakti Hey @kerissakti, we may potentially have ratings problem in India. I'm a fellow gamedev and drive policy/government relations in India. I'd like to understand what's going on with IGRS and surrounding policies. Any way to get in touch with you?

Mumpung IGRS lagi rame. Ini gw pernah beberapa kali protes perihal isi Perpres 19/2024 perihal usulan IGRS ditajamkan dan menjadi penerimaan negara bukan pajak. System rating yg awalnya utk awareness justru mau dijadikan senjata utk censorship dan mengendalikan aliran dana.

I contributed to an article on @GIBiz that discusses the role of AI in gamedev. It has nuanced takes from gamedev CXOs from across the world and is expertly edited by @LewisPackwood. Give it a read here - sl1nk.com/HAqy9

Fast forward to early February 2026, We Are So Cooked went viral. The game had crossed 70,000 wishlists (now it's 200,000), and Geoff Keighley had reached out to the team. (3/4)

That direction was never going to work and the mess was far too big to salvage. But yes blaming the talent from an emerging region is always an easier cop out than admitting one's own mistake.

I run a game studio in India and here's what I heard from Ubisoft India employees. Ubisoft (french) management pushed the anvil engine and other tech/assets from Assassins Creed into the development of this remake. Theres no better definition of a square peg through a round hole.

Prince of Persia, why it was REALLY cancelled. Insider tells all. "The game is so bad..." - 90% developed by Ubisoft India. - Project was as a disaster. - Transferred last minute to Ubisoft Montreal to "fix" it. - Game unfixable. - Cancelled. This is from my Ubisoft sources.

We met the hon'ble Minister @ptrmadurai back in June to discuss this. We've been collaborating w/ him for 2 years spanning many initiatives and are fortunate to have a minister who has championed the video games industry to build consensus within Govt. We thank you a lot 🙏🏻

A proud milestone for Tamil Nadu’s digital creative economy! 🎮 After being hosted in Pune and Hyderabad for over 15 years, India’s largest and longest-running game developers’ event—the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC)—is coming to Chennai this November! When I attended #IGDC2024 in Hyderabad last year, I proposed bringing this marquee event to Chennai, in recognition of Tamil Nadu’s growing strength in gaming, animation, and digital entertainment. With the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s support and sustained collaboration, I am delighted to see this vision come to life. Through our partnership with @GDAI_in, the Government of Tamil Nadu continues to nurture a vibrant talent pipeline and attract leading global and domestic game developers to build their presence here.

From here, TN ecosystem can only go upwards. A key figure in enabling this is IAS @karthi_kp, MD of ELCOT, who has been steadfast in moving the policy through the government mechanism and building political consensus. TN's games industry is grateful to you, sir. (4/4)

Between this and the @theindiagdc moving to Chennai, we are fortunate to have a political system/leaders who are promoting our nascent sector even before the AVGC-XR Policy is notified. And watch out for the policy, it's going to be amazing. (3/4)
