PWInsider: There are rumblings that TNA has had a change of heart about letting their talents in the ring with talents contracted to other companies, including AEW. The concern seems to be centered around the idea that someone could conceivably show TNA talents in a bad light or losing on rival programming.

@BluThundrBmb @HeyTerezi if Newman is this good right now at 23 imagine how good he’ll be at 26 under this same new Japan schedule working these awesome top guys. It’s actually a good thing to invest on good young guys early instead of waiting til they’re total packages

@HeyTerezi @HarjivS Sanada is a good comparison, and I think throwing the belt on Sanada was a bold choice that I agree with them doing depsite me hating Sanada.
Did it work out? Not really, but I don't think theres harm in it, again especially with the shape NJ is in.

@HeyTerezi @BluThundrBmb SANADA was on the level and had a decent reign in the start, he just got very injured in the G1 and was never the same to this day. He literally lost 70% of the muscle mass in one arm because of the injury

@HarjivS @BluThundrBmb it's just the circumstances that'll bring way more scrutiny. youngest to ever win it, still kinda figuring it out, etc etc etc. Anyone else, in recent memory at least, was more established. Last guy i can really think of that wasn't On That Level yet was maybe Sanada?

@BluThundrBmb @HeyTerezi they need a new top gaijin heel, and he’s very young, tall, signed for many years, as good as anyone they have, knows the system in and outs since he was a young lion. What is there to wait on? Make him a guy immediately and you have a hill for the core babyfaces to climb

@HeyTerezi @HarjivS it is very weird that they've fuckin' just DONE him for the world title, i'd think it'd be better to suite him getting the global belt, but I do think they are in a bit of an alarming area right now, they need some quick fixes and I dont think Callum is a BAD CHOICE

@HeyTerezi all his early cup matches I thought were very good and told a consistent story throughout, and I’ve never been a guy that watched him. the yuya and Tsuji match are both actively such excellent performances, I had to give it to him. He’s 23 and on par with of > the other core guys

@BluThundrBmb @HeyTerezi it’s never been early enough for anyone to be IWGP champion historically ever, that’s just how they build stars. He’s gotten eons better after working 100+ matches a year under the njpw system as a big tall 23 year old gaijin who did the young lion thing

@HeyTerezi @HarjivS I agree absolutely that it's probably too early for him to be IWGP WORLD CHAMPION, but I also look at New Japan and the STATE that it's in and say you kinda gotta throw shit at the wall sometimes to see if it works.
