My IWB line. Highly recommend the one on the right and the one on the left, because having both allows so many options. However, if you, like me, carry a larger gun, the one in the middle is super nice for quick concealed appendix.

@ProvisionistP @_KyleBerry Take the Nicene Creed for example, while the framers weren’t strictly Aristotelian, they were influenced by Greek philosophy and philosophical frameworks. I think it’s non-controversial to say the theology of the Nicene Creed aligns quite nicely with Classical Theism.

Sure, but that has very little to do with this issue here because an English word like Sovereignty, or Kingly (just as good if not better) doesn’t lend itself to carry the additional philosophical freight given to it as a technical term, and it lacks agreement. Just because some like it and want it to carry that means absolutely nothing. We ALL have to communicate, and if we ALL don’t agree on a neutral term’s use or not in a particular way, we can’t communicate at all and we have jargon and private language problems. Theology as a discipline is bad enough shape these days already in general, so there’s no need to make it worse.

@jdpritchett @ProvisionistP It’s not nonsense. The best way, really the only way, to say much about the metaphysics of God is via apophaticism. Some positive statements can be fashioned from the negative affirmations, but I think the it’s truly the best option we have available. (1 of 2)
