Securin inhibits the protease separase and must be removed before anaphase to ensure timely chromosome segregation. Work from my PhD with @SuzanneMadgwick out now in @NatureComms reveals how this is achieved in mouse oocytes. @CBCC_NCL (1/4) nature.com/articles/s4146…
