So all that makes this feel particularly surprising and especially nice. I think the moral here is to have a crack if you’ve got anything in your back pocket. It’s very easy to count yourself out and assume you’re not good enough. But you never know. Thanks @Mslexia 💗

I never thought anyone would read it, and really never expected to be listed because to be honest I didn’t think that my story about a young couple would be competitive next to the bigger, more complex topics that are often tackled and in a much more literary way.

Struggling to know what to say about this other than thank you. Just read the lovely things @DianaEvansOP wrote about my story in the magazine and I feel super grateful to be included, especially alongside the other stories, which I’ve also just read — brilliant.
