Basic Autopilot is so dangerous with all these phantom brakings! My wife was using it on the way back home, and we had a big phantom braking someone almost rear-ended us!!!! How come Tesla and regulators still allow this shit on our roads in Europe? It's the outdated legacy software that hasn't been properly updated in years, while much smarter versions (and FSD Supervised) are rolling out in the US and now finally around the corner here too after the Dutch approval. Many owners report it happening weekly, especially on highways or near trucks and shadows. A German court even ruled it "defective" and not suitable for normal use! Some people might misinterpret this as just the "shorty" version of Autopilot, but it's the old problematic stack not the new FSD that's coming…. Delete it, or update it to something smarter if you don’t want to delete it for Europe like you guys are doing in the US!! AP = DISGRAZIA

Tesla AI Sr. Staff Engineer says Tesla has implemented a new software based Auto-Wiper system that uses the wiper motor itself as a tactile sensor. Instead of relying solely on the front cameras, the system estimates the physical friction between the rubber wiper blade and the glass by analyzing the motor’s electrical power consumption. The system will also automatically enable the defroster when high friction is detected, such as frost or ice. Additionally, it keeps a long-term friction level average to warn when wiper replacements are necessary due to higher than normal friction. Smart stuff! I suspect this system will get better over time with OTA updates.

And obviously not failing, though some blogs and reports want you desperately to believe otherwise. Contrary to all these eatery blogs and car blogs that say the Tesla Diner is a flop, a failure, a disaster, that is not true, as so many things that are often written about Tesla. There are car blogs that devote all their time to taking down Tesla. I went to the Diner on Friday April 3 and Saturday April 4. I estimate that on both days 90+ percent of the chargers (of the 80 Superchargers) were being used. By that metric alone, the Diner is a success. Yes, I’ve been inside the Diner when it’s slow. But as a Supercharger location with the option to grab a snack it’s a success. It seems that the ulterior motive of some “reviews” is to bash Elon Musk and tell you what a bad, bad man he is. That doesn’t give the reader an honest evaluation of the Tesla Diner as a great charging destination, which, again, is its primary purpose for the vast majority of visitors. It's extremely clean. If you want to come to a pristine place to eat, the Tesla Diner is it."
